For us, this is a new story

This year, the national team of Ukraine participated for the first time in the United States Air Force and Marine Corps Trials 2024, an international adaptive sports event.

This is an annual competition for veterans and members of the U.S. military who have been injured, wounded, or ill during their military service. This year, the organizers invited the Ukrainian team, which will include veterans and active military personnel.

Each veteran has a unique story about the challenges they have all overcome. About the desire to find new motivations and goals in life. But they do this not for the sake of their victories, but for the sake of each other.

It is also a story about inspiring other veterans by showing them that there is such a way. After all, the support of army fellows, families, and friends is the foundation of successful recovery from injuries and wounds. The adaptive sports community is built on respect for each other’s experiences and mutual understanding, which is the primary tool of rehabilitation through physical activity.
