Stereotypes don’t define you
Scope
Visual identity, Communication strategy, Documentary film, Landing page, Branded materials, Work with student communities, Work with media and influencersThe stereotypes and discrimination based on gender still are common issues in Ukraine. Together with UN Women we provided a national HeForshe University Tour to start discussion about gender equality in the academic circles.
We created a 20-minute long film full of personal stories and thoughts on gender roles, economic inequality, objectification, and violence.
By giving examples of their own strength and persistence, the celebrities sought to inspire students to talk as a first step to changing the situation.
20-minutes long documentary where celebrities share personal stories were presented online and offline at 5 universities of the country.
The first events were held in 5 cities in different parts of Ukraine with UN Women members and celebrities present.

We got terrific feedback from the audience: all of the discussions went with the active involvement of the youth.
1000 students at the offline discussions
30 universities supported the HeForShe movement

For Telegram, where the students in Ukraine talk in groups of classmates or friends, we launched an illustrated sticker pack helpful to react to stereotypes expressing one’s position.

For Instagram: a series of posts in a popular memes format outplaying stereotypic situations in universities, + animated stickers for Stories.
Together with the Ukrainian students and universities we made an important step to make the academic world free of stereotypes.
With a safer environment and equal opportunities for everyone, regardless of gender. With respect for student rights and the ongoing dialogue.
And this is just a start.
